ATC SCM20PSL Pro Passive (Pair)

Two-way active studio monitor built with Soft dome technology and radical new design

Compare

The ATC SCM20PSL Pro is a two-way passive studio monitor using radical designs and dedicated parts all manufactured in house to exacting tolerances.
The ATC SCM20PSL Pro features ATC’s now famous Soft Dome technology which revolutionised the professional audio industry, and ground-breaking Super-Linear technology which reduces significantly the detrimental effects of magnetic hysteresis, thus reducing distortion of drive units. The 6” (150mm) bass mid driver and 1” (25mm) tweeter both use this technology to deliver unparalleled detail often associated with some of the best 3-way designs.
The drivers are housed in a heavily braced MDF cabinet with highly damped elastomeric panels attached to the cabinet’s inner walls to eliminate internal cabinet resonance. The front panel exhibits a huge radius to further reduce cabinet diffraction for improved frequency response and stereo imaging.
In addition the SCM20PSL Pro uses revolutionary materials built for the communications industry which form the basis of the SL drive units which reduces third harmonic distortion by up to 15dB between 100H and 3kHz. Here lies the secret of ATC’s “microscopic” detail.
