Focal Shape Twin (Pair)

2.5-way active studio monitor with Class AB amplification, dual 8” passive radiator and 5” flax Sandwich cones.

Compare

The Focal Shape Twin is an active 2.5-way nearfield active studio monitor designed to easily integrate in any studio regardless of the shape or size for the room.
The Focal Shape Twin boasts a dual 8” passive radiator on each side helping the speaker provide well defined and controlled low frequencies. This is augmented by Focal’s latest M-shaped aluminium and magnesium inverted dome tweeter with very low directivity for a wide sweetspot. Furthermore the Shape Twin uses the same 5” Flax Sandwich cone as the rest of the line, which delivers the rigidity, and internal damping necessary for good acoustic membrane. Each driver is powered by a dedicated Class AB amplifier
Further technologies developed by Focal include a Neutral Inductance Circuit, an extremely stable magnetic circuit and a Tuned Mass Damper which stabilise the dynamic behaviour of the the cone’s surround without incurring deformation of the cone and loss of dynamics. This ensures the most accurate midrange possible.
Focal Shape Twin Main Features:

Tweeter with very low directivity for a flexible sweet spot
Designed without a port (double passive radiator) allowing it to be placed near a wall
2.5 channels to provide optimal control of bass and low mid-range registers
Numerous settings for optimal integration
Accurate control, even in the very high frequencies
Flax sandwich cone: controlled and articulated bass, natural and detailed lower mid-range and upper
mid-range registers
Fastening mechanisms for mounting to the ceiling or a wall (fastening accessories not supplied)
