The Free State FX FSFX101 is a 5U Moog Format Macro Digital Oscillator, a 5U Moog Unit vintage format version of the Mutable Instruments Braids.
Probably the most iconic Eurorack oscillator ever made, the Mutable Instruments Braids is a complex digital oscillator which provides a vast array of synthesis mediums from analogue waveforms, to drums all the way through to complex digital FM tones and timbres.
Until now Braids has only been available in the eurorack format, Jason at FSFX has reengineered this beauty of a module to work to the Moog format standard, providing full size 1/4″ jack inputs and .com power connectivity, whilst retaining the pristine audio quality and diverse array of features Braids is so famous for.
As I mentioned earlier, the FSFX101 doesn’t only do oscillations, it also does percussion sounds, which is very unusual in the 5U format. So by adding this module into your system you can turn your 5U into a true, all in one performance system complete with drums and percussion.
A highly addictive and flexible module that any modular user can now own and enjoy, an absolute must for any 5U systems.
The main features of the Free State FX FSFX101 include
Very flexible digital oscillator
Sounds range from analogue waveforms to complex digital timbres and percussion
Full size 1/4″ jacks
96kHz resolution
2U wide and 5U high
