The Serpent Audio Splice MkII 500 is a 500 series compressor designed to recreate the sound of two of the most revered FET compressors.
The Serpent Audio Splice MkII features a unique switching mode which recreates the sound of a classic Blackface or vintage Bluestripe circuits by configuring both the input and output paths. In fact the Splice MkII 500 offers more versatile options by combining the input and output of each mode to create unique flavours of FET compression.
Furthermore, a Slam mode recreatres the legendary buttons “All in” sound and a Mix/Blend control  is provided for parallel processing.  The Splice MkII 500 also has a selectable 600R output loading enabling this 500 series compressor to interact with vintage as well as modern equipment. Finally a built-in side-chain High-Pass Filter is provided to reduce the compression from being triggered by excessive bass.
