The Akai MPC Touch is an evolution of the MPC controller format, with a bright, responsive touch screen making sample editing, velocity curves and sequencing an absolute breeze. With MPC software you get all the sound and tools to make track and beats.
The Akai MPC Touch is a revolutionary upgrade for the MPC range, as it’s name suggests the MPC Touch includes a bright, responsive touch screen that makes editing, sequencing and production simple and more importantly quick.
MPC Touch includes all the essential tools you have come to expect from an MPC, 16 super sensitive RGB backlit pads, four Q-Link controls with four banks, eight pad banks and a wealth of transport and edition controls. Where Touch sets itself apart from the previous versions of MPC, is it’s touch screen interface.
The screen not only provides incredibly clear visual feedback of your parameters, it also allows for lighting fast editing, meaning no more “scroll wheeling” to slice your samples, you simply touch the regions you want to use and edit as required. Sequencing is also vastly improved thanks to this ingenious addition, a full keyroll provides familiar MIDI editing on, with plenty of controls for editing your timing, velocity curves and of course your sequences themselves.
Navigation is also quicker compared to previous MPC versions, the shortcuts from previous iterations have been scaled back with most of the controls available directly by touch. Everything you need to get to make beats, productions and grooves can be directly accessed from the Touch itself, meaning you’ll hardly ever have to look at your computer screen.
When it comes to external connectivity, you have a stereo input and output for sampling and playback, and MIDI IO on Minijack for controlling your external hardware and integrating your synths and other gear into your software / hardware workflow.
