4-band parametric EQ for 500-series with VF600 discrete amp blocks to add warmth and definition
The Inward Connections The Brat is a 4-band parametric EQ for the 500-series designed to add warmth and definition.
The Inward Connections The Brat uses a VF600 discrete amp blocks for adding its distinctive tonal character. The Equalisation provides all the shaping tools you’re require to tweak your sound. All four bands cover an extremely frequency range and overlap generously. The High Frequency band can be used with bell or shelf curves and covers frequencies from 1.2 kHz all the way up to 25kHz. Next, The high midrange band covers frequencies between 300 Hz all the way up to 7kHz, while the Mid Low band is sweepable between 80Hz and 1.6kHz. Finally the Low band ranges from 20Hz all the way up to 300Hz and can be used in bell peak or shelf modes. All bands offer a +/- 12dB cut or boost and an adjustable bandwidth (or Q) ranging from 0.20 to 2.0 per octave.
The Brat uses only detented knobs with 41 steps on all frequencies, 31 detents on all bandwith controls. These controls make it easy for recalls. In addition the Brat uses differential balanced input transformers and balanced output transformers.
