Rupert Neve Designs RNDI Active Transformer Direct Interface

The Rupert Neve Designs RNDI is a direct interface (DI) box designed to deliver the true sound of your instrument and superior isolation.
The Rupert Neve Designs RNDI uses Rupert Neve-designed transformers and Class A discrete FET amplifiers to provide a fuller and deeper bass with rich tone and very musical harmonics as well as a frequency response that far exceeds the audible range for a crystal clear high without any harshness.
The specifically-designed low impedance transformer-balanced output is easily drive long cable runs without any unwanted loss of clarity and performs consistently no matter what equipment is connected. A toggle switch offers the choice between Instrument mode or Speaker mode which ensures optimum performance whatever the situation. In Instrument mode, the RNDI’s high input headroom can accommodate any line level sources without the need to use a Pad while in speaker mode, it can easily handle the full output of a 1000-Watt power amp.  A Thru-put is also included to use with additional amp which is ideal to record a bass guitar with its amp.
The RNDI is also phase coherent at all frequencies providing superior transient response and natural, well-balanced tone which is crucial when blending the DI signal with microphone capture of the same signal.
The FET amplifier is powered by +48V phantom power. Through the use of a passive transformer design, the RNDI provides a superior isolation while the discrete FET circuit delivers a uniform high impedance of 2M Ohms. Ground lift switch is also included to avoid any unwanted ground loop or hum.
The RNDI is made of a rugged steel chassis with industrial-grade powder coating to ensure it can withstand the severe stresses of being on the road.
