The Telefunken AK-47 MkII uses a 6-micron dual-membrane capsule inspired by the K67 which is combined with a resolutely modern amplifier circuit designed by Oliver Archut with BV8 output transformer and NOS Telefunken EF-732 tube.
Soundwise, the AK-47 it is reminiscent of its vintage U47 cousin with extended low end but with smoother and more open top end.
Thanks to the centre terminated, dual capsule design, the AK-47 provides 9 polar patterns including the usual omni, cardioid, and figure of eight patterns as well as six variations in between (wide cardioid, super cardioid, hyper cardioid, etc…)
