Ideal for a wide range of recording and broadcast applications, the LavryBlack AD10 builds on founder Dan Lavry’s reputation for extreme transparency with a number of innovative new features for highest-quality sound, flexibility and ease of use.
LavryBlack AD10 sees the introduction of Lavry Engineering’s unique Digital Alias-Free Emulationâ„¢ modes. With this exclusive system, in addition to Clear mode users can select the input characteristic of Tube, Transformer or both (Complex). “The AD10 marks the first time that a Lavry Engineering unit has offered this type of option,” explains Dan Lavry, President of Lavry Engineering. “With AD10, very high accuracy and transparency remain the starting point. However, the engineer can also alter the original signal if they choose.”
In addition to a myriad of functions, the LavryBlack AD10 is accessible via user-friendly interface controlled by a single toggle switch. This switch utilizes multiple displays for heightened efficiency within the compact ½ RU enclosure. Other highlights of the LavryBlack AD10 include: ” Internal Crystal 44.1, 48, 88.2, & 96 kHz sampling rates
” Ultra-stable internal and external clocking
” Greater than 117dB Dynamic Range (unweighted), 120dB (weighted)
” Less than .0009% THD+N (20HZ-20kHz)
” External Word Clock or AES sync for 32-100kHz operation
” 24 bit AES/SPDIF and optical outputs
” XLR professional level analog inputs (+4dBu)
” ¼” instrument line level analog inputs (-10dBV)
” Accepts balanced or unbalanced analog signals
” 14 segment digital meters w/Peak Hold
” Meter displayed gain setting from 0 to 13 dB (1dB steps)
The AD11 stereo A to D converter offers USB connectivity, ideal for portable recording systems.
Converts analog signals to a true 24-bit digital audio data stream. Consistently used for many of today’s top recordings, the AD122-96MKIII features -127dB dynamic range (unweighted), providing optimum musical results.

THE “LavryBlue” Conversion System — gives you 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz sampling frequencies. (Dan Lavry is against 192kHz sample rate.) LavryBlue converters feature Lavry’s exclusive CrystalLock, Acoustic Bit Correction and wide vari- speed operation.
LavryBlue can be configured in 2 to 8 channels A/D, D/A or a combination of both. ALSO MICPRE AND SAMPLE RATE CONVERSION MODULES ARE AVAILABLE NOW FOR THIS UNIT. MIX AND MATCH. MicPre Module takes up two spaces.
A/D cards allow the selection of various word lengths, Analog or Digital soft saturation and Acoustic Bit Correction, dither and noise shaping. Other features include LED metering, Reference meter bridge, Peak detection and front panel gain control. Conversion may use internal crystals or externaly lock to Word Clock or AES signal.
The D/A is easy to use. It automatically detects and displays the input data rate. The user can optimize for minimum jitter by setting the D/A to CrystalLock for stereo, narrow lock for multitrack applications and wide lock for non standard frequencies.
Analog A/D inputs and D/A outputs may be configured for balanced or unbalanced operation.
This system may be ordered in several A/D and D/A configurations ranging from 2 to 8 channels (up to 4 stereo channels) in each 1U 19 inch rack mountable chassis. Other optional configurations include synchronous Up Sample/Down sample converters and dual channel professional microphone preamps. This unit operates with AC power from 90 – 264 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
