The Barefoot Sound Footprint01 is an active 3-way nearfield studio monitor with Barefoot’s Dual-Force technology, dual ring radiator tweeter and MEME technology found on the highly popular MM27 and MM12.
The Barefoot Sound Footprint01 is primarily designed for musicians, producers and engineers working in the constraints of a small space and with smaller budgets without sacrificing the quality that has made Barefoot speakers so popular. It boasts dual opposing 8-inch paper cone subwoofers as well as a 4-inch aluminium cone midrange driver and a 1″ dual ring radiating tweeter.
The speakers are powered by a dual Class D amplifier with 2-way DSP crossover providing 500W of power to the subwoofer and 150W to the mid and high-frequency drivers. An additional passive crossover network is used between the mid and high-frequency driver. The mid and high drivers are inverted ensuring acoustic focus in the centre of the cabinet.
The Footprint01 follows in the Barefoot tradition by providing impressive sonic performance with wide dynamic range and bass extension in a smaller footprint that responds to the evolving modern workflows where musicians and engineers need reliable performance in smaller work-environment.
It also includes Barefoot’s revolutionary Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation (MEME) technology which lets you change the frequency, phase, transient response, compression and distortion of the speakers to emulate classic, old, and Hi-fi speakers at the switch of a button. The MEME technology is even more useful in small rooms where it might be difficult to add a second pair of reference monitors providng four different voicings in one pair of speakers.
