The SSL Xlogic X-Rack Stereo Dynamics Module is a stereo channel compressor/limiter and expander/gate for the comprehensive X-Rack modular range.
Using the X-Rack Stereo Dynamics module lets you take complete control of the mix – with all the punch and dynamics available from a classic console strip built with SSL’s SuperAnalogue circuitry, for clean quiet operation. Made to be a portable processing tool, the SSL XR728 Stereo Dynamics Module is the ideal unit for crisis management in the audio environment.
Solid State Logic’s reputation was founded for many on their Dynamics control. The compressor can switch between Hard and Soft Knee characteristics, with a responsive peak limiter to smooth out the transients, with a Fast Attack setting available. The expander/gate section can allow you to knock back or cut out completely any extraneous sounds and it also has a Key input for an external trigger.
A gain reduction meter and relevant LEDs for all the switch functions. With the clean and simple layout that you’d expect from a maker of fine consoles, including a centrally located gain reduction meter and with thoughtfully placed LEDs for all the switch functions, the SSL X-Rack Stereo Dynamics Module will soon become a unit you will learn to depend on.
