SPL DMC

The SPL DMC is an uncompromising stereo mastering console  with four stereo inputs, four stereo sources, two recording outputs and three stereo stereo speaker outputs.

The SPL DMC uses SPL’s unrivalled 120V audio rail technology which operates at twice the voltage of discrete and four times the voltage of  semiconductor op-amps offering unparalleled resolution, headroom and dynamics for a truly pristine sound.

A centrepiece for any mastering setup, the DMC offers a very generous I/O facilities that integrates perfectly with any mastering setup as well as incredibly powerful features required by mastering engineers.

On the left hand side is the input section that lets you select between four different sources and inputs, mute left and right channels as well as reverse their polarity individually. Input trims are also included offering a boost/cut of 6dB with 0.25dB increments all the up to 2dB, then  0.5dB up to 3dB, 1dB up to 4dB and finally 2dB up to 6dB. The input section also includes a mono source switch and a Rec Gain On switch which lets you increase/reduce the recording level by up to 10dB.

On the right hand side is the monitoring section with a selection of the three stereo speaker out, mono speaker out, Sub output and headphone out. Insert Return trims are provided for precise gain staging after the processors, following the same increments as the input trims. A Dim output provides -20dB reduction while the +/-10dB monitor offset ensures consistent monitoring between the source and the destination. Additional controls include Left and Right Solo as well as individual L/R polarity reversal.

The DMC can be augmented with the MC16 for multi-channel monitoring  covering traditional surround applications as well as Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D.
